Itinerary for Fall Painting Holiday & Workshop - Oil & AcrylicCLOSED!
September 22 - 29, 2006
On the first day, arrive at your accommodations - single-room occupancy in a centrally located pension in Cesky Krumlov - in time for your orientation dinner introducing staff and friends of Milkwood Artist Residency. Your next nine days will comprise of both studio and plein aire painting workshops, facilitated by Julie Hudspeth, and regional trips to historic towns and villages, including Linz and Ceske Budejovice. The package includes optional activities for non-painting participants and culminates in a one-day vernisage /show of workshop artist paintings at the Cesky Krumlov State Castle. Below is a provisional schedule of activities. While the availability of all events have been confirmed with local partners, unforeseen circumstances may require some rescheduling. Confirmed participants will receive any updated schedules as they become available. Friday 9/22/06 Saturday 9/23/06 Sunday 9/24/06 Monday 9/25/06 Tuesday 9/26/06 Wednesday 9/27/06 Thursday 9/28/06 Friday 9/29/06 Changes to itinerary: Organizers hold the right to change or reschedule itinerary items as is necessary due to unforeseen conditions. Changes to the itinerary will be posted on the Milkwood website (www.milkwoodinternational.org) and will be emailed to registered participants in a timely fashion. Transportation: Partipicants are responsible for their own transportation to the workshop accommodations for first-day check in. Unless otherwise stated, all group transportation for day trips is covered by the participant fee. Any costs related to items marked "Optional" are not covered by paraticipant fees. Airport pick-ups and delivery to accommodation can be arranged at additional cost. Meals: To allow for flexible participant budgets, most meals are not covered by the workshop. Accommodations arranged by the workshop provide continental breakfasts. Unless otherwise marked, all other meals except the Welcome Dinner, the Celebration Dinner and Departing Breakfast are paid for by participants. Workshop organizers will provide a list of affordable good restaurants in town and will recommend restaurant options during day trips. Painting materials: Participants will receive an advance list of required materials for the course.
